GUADALAJARA, MEXICO – The Las Vegas Smash has been crowned champion of the Pro Padel League (PPL) Guadalajara event, securing a hard-fought victory in a tense final against the San Diego Stingrays. The win marks the Las Vegas Smash’s second title of the year, following their triumph in the PPL’s inaugural season.
The championship match, held at El Domo del Consejo Estatal para el Fomento Deportivo, was a spectacle of skill and endurance that captivated a record-breaking crowd of over 8,000 fans. The Las Vegas Smash men’s team, featuring the formidable duo of Gonzalo Alfonso and Francisco “Xisco” Gil, faced off against the San Diego Stingrays’ team of Lucas Bergamini and Alex Chozas.
The Las Vegas pair took the first set 6-3, but the Stingrays fought back, pushing the match to a dramatic super tiebreak. In a battle of nerves and exceptional play, the Las Vegas Smash prevailed with a final score of 10-7, claiming the Pro Padel League trophy.
